乐播传媒入口 is pleased to host Hasan Davis, J.D. for events on Jan. 20 and 21, 2020, to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Davis is an esteemed educator whose work with individuals, communities, and institutions serves as an inspirational catalyst for change for the common good. He is author of two books and travels extensively inspiring audiences nationwide.

Based on his book, The Journey of York: The Unsung Hero of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Hasan portrays an enslaved man who was a critical part of this historic journey. The performance with be followed by a Q&A and a book signing. This event is supported by a grant to 乐播传媒入口 from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Davis will share some of his own journey from juvenile delinquent to juris doctor as recounted in his book, Written Off: How One Man鈥檚 Journey Through Poverty, Disability, and Delinquency Is Transforming the Juvenile Justice System. He will share the spark that hope dealers ignited in him to serve youth and families and will encourage audience members to find their own path as hope dealers. This event is sponsored by 乐播传媒入口鈥檚 Rosenfield Program in Public Affairs, International Relations, and Human Rights; Office of Diversity and Inclusion; Office of Community Enhancement and Engagement, and Office of the Ombuds.
